The ingredients needed to prepare Tater Tot Casserole:
  1. Use Ground Beef
  2. You need Tater Tots
  3. Get Onion
  4. You need Cream of Mushroom Soup
  5. Get Milk
  6. Prepare Sharp Cheddar Cheese

  8. Use Ground Black Pepper
  9. Provide Smoked Paprika

Instructions to make Tater Tot Casserole:
  1. Pre heat oven to 375°
  2. Brown the beef in a large skillet, season with salt and pepper. You may add garlic salt as well
  3. Roughly chop onion, then sautee
  4. Mix the cream of mushroom soup, 1-1/2 cups of cheese. Add 1 can of milk (use the can from the cream of mushroom soup)
  5. Add beef, and onions to the cream of mushroom soup mixture. Mix until well combined
  6. Add smoked paprika, stir 10 times
  7. Add frozen tater tots to the mixture
  8. Pour everything into a 11x13 baking dish
  9. Top the casserole with the remaining cheese
  10. Cover casserole with tin foil and cook for 45 minutes
  11. After cooking for 45 minutes remove tin foil and bake another 45-60 minutes. (This cook time is high but remember the cooking temperature is pretty low for a tater tot casserole)
  12. After cooking remove from oven and let it sit for 5 minutes. Then enjoy :)
