The ingredients needed to prepare Vanilla Gateau:
- Use Flour
- Provide Castor Sugar
- Use Butter
- Use Eggs
- You need Vanilla Essence
- Get Fondant
- You need Baking powder
- Use Kiwi
- Take Kiwi crush
- You need Whipping cream
- Use sugar syrup
- Prepare Blue food colour
- Get Yellow food colour

Steps to make Vanilla Gateau:
- Take sugar and butter in a bowl, beat with electric beater till sugar melts completely.
- Put eggs one by one in the mixture and beat again till the it becomes a smooth batter.
- Sieve flour and baking powder together.
- Put sieved flour in the egg sugar mixture. Cut and fold the batter.
- Grease a cake mold and pour the batter.
- Keep the mold in preheated oven at 180°C for 30-40 minutes or till the pick comes out clean on checking.
- Demold the cake and let it cool down completely. Cut the kiwi in thin semi circle shape.
- Take the whipping cream in a bowl, beat it till peak forms. Add kiwi crush and mix well.
- Cut 2 horizontally slices of cake, sprinkle sugar syrup on it.
- Now apply whipped cream on it, put kiwi on the top of cream. Put another cake slice over it.
- Apply whipped cream and cover the cake sponge completely.
- Keep it in refrigerator for 10-15 minutes.
- Add blue colour in 200 g fondant, yellow in 100 g and let the 100 g be white. Knead the fondant before adding colour.
- Knead the white fondant, dust the board with corn flour, make a thin sheet using rolling pin, cut it in the shape of map.
- Draw the border on the map using a paint brush with caramel colour.
- Now make a thin large sheet of blue colour.
- Place the blue sheet over the cake sponge, cut the side edges carefully. Handle with soft hands.
- Make a thin sheet of yellow fondant cut 1 inch width and 4 inch long strips. Also make 4-5 small circles out of yellow fondant.
- Now apply red colour on some portions of white map as shown in photo.
- Paste the map over the cake using chocolate as shown in photo and also paste the yellow strips.
- Cake is ready now.
