The ingredients needed to cook Filipino Pakbet:
  1. Use bitter melon, chopped
  2. Use butternut squash, chopped
  3. Use fresh long beans, chopped (can substitute w/ green beans)
  4. You need fresh tomatoes, chopped
  5. Use zucchini, chopped
  6. Take yellow onion, sliced
  7. Prepare Japanese eggplant, chopped
  8. Take Garlic cloves, minced
  9. Get ginger, minced
  10. Take pork ribs (any kind of pork will do if not available)
  11. Provide raw shrimp
  12. Provide Chicken flavor dry broth base & seasoning

  5. Add zucchini and bitter melon with 1 3/4 c water. Stir to combine. Continue to let cook as you prepare the next step.
  6. Meanwhile, cut up eggplant and add to pan. Cook for another 3-4 min.
  7. Mix dry broth seasoning with the remaining 1/4 c of water then mix with the vegetables.
  8. Add raw shrimp and cooked pork. Mix well. Lower heat to simmer and cover for 10-12 min. Enjoy!
