The ingredients needed to cook Creamy Spinach:
- You need 1 bunch spinach
- Get 2 onions
- Prepare 2 tomatoes
- Get 1-2 green chillies finely chopped
- You need 1 tsp grated ginger
- Provide to taste Salt
- Provide To taste Red chilli powder
- Take 1/4 tsp haldi/Turmeric powder
- You need 1/2 tsp jeera/cumin seeds
- Take 1/2 tsp Jeera(cumin) powder
- Provide Pinch Hing/asafoetida
- You need 2-3 tbsp malai/cream
- Use 1/4 tsp garam masala
- Prepare 2 tbsp oil
Steps to make Creamy Spinach:
- Wash and finely chop the spinach.
- In a pan take 1 tbsp oil and saute the spinach for 4-5 mins on low flame and remove and keep aside.
- In the same pan take oil and add hing, meera, grated ginger and chopped onions and saute till colour changes.
- Add finely chopped tomatoes, hali powder,jeera powder, red chilli powder, garam masala and salt to taste and mix well and cover and cook on low flame till tomatoes are soft.
- Add spinach and malai and mix well and cook for 5-7 mins. Oil will start releasing. Off the gas and serve hot with Roti Or Paratha.
