The ingredients needed to make Chocolate meringue:
- Use 3 Egg whites -
- Use 1 cup Superfine/caster sugar -
- Provide 2 tbsp Cocoa powder -
- You need 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract -
- Prepare Salt - 1/4 th tsp
Steps to make Chocolate meringue:
- Whisk the egg whites and sugar together in a metallic container. Place the metallic container on a double boiler (it is basically placing the metallic container on a saucepan with hot simmering water).
- Stir the egg mix till the sugar is dissolved. Remove it from heat, add the vanilla and whisk it till soft peaks are formed.
- Add salt and whisk again to form hard peaks. The whole procedure takes about 6-7 minutes.
