- You need 1 cup red lentil
- Use 1-2 onion chopped
- Use 2 green chillies finely chopped
- You need 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- Get Pinch hing
- Prepare 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- Provide 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- Get 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- You need 1/2 tsp garam masala (per your taste)

Instructions to make Red Lentil cutlets:
- Wash and soak lentil for 3-4 hours.Make a smooth & thin paste in grinder.
- Heat 1tbsp oil in a heavy bottom pan or vok.now add the paste (paste should not be thick,add water for thin consistency)
- Add 1/2 tsp salt and cook it on low flame (with out any lumps) So keep stirring continuously until it thickens
- . Now Grease the backside of a thali and spread the thick layer of the batter on it evenly with wet hands.
- Let it cool.,then cut into equal strips
- Now heat the oil in a pan,add cumin seeds,hing, chopped onion & chillies and roast it.Add ginger garlic paste.
- When it cooks add all spices.Stir well then add the pieces of masoor lentil.add some salt per your taste
- Sprinkle some water and mix lightly. Cover with lid and Cook for 3-4 minutes then switch off the flame.
- Add lemon juice (optional). Garnish with coriander leaves.Serve as morning or evening snacks. You can make it also in gravy like paneer.
